Fuel represents one of the highest costs for a shipping company. Fuel quality varies widely and often cannot be guaranteed by suppliers. Using the wrong fuel can lead to economic, environmental, compliance, and operational risks — making inspection and analysis of bunker fuels essential.
We offer the option of self-sampling using a dedicated kit, complete with clear instructions. Kit delivery and sample transportation are fully arranged by Eurofins Maritime Services. Samples can be collected from your preferred location or a designated depot.
Legal framework
Eurofins is aware of the legislation to which bunker fuel is subject:

Accredited analysis
Eurofins Maritime Services uses accredited analysis methods according to ISO 8217. By reviewing the documents that are part of the changes to the composition of the vessel, we can take care of this process for you, ensuring that you remain compliant with applicable legislation.
