Eurofins Maritime Services originated from Sanitas B.V., which has extensive experience in asbestos surveys and inspections across various industries (including the maritime industry) for over 15 years.

In 2018, Eurofins IHM was established under Sanitas B.V. with the aim of performing hazardous materials investigations and surveys, as well as maintenance and asbestos management in the maritime industry. Over a period of two years, these services were provided to various clients.

Given the broader potential of the Eurofins Group and increasing market demand, Eurofins IHM decided to expand its scope in October 2020. It evolved into Eurofins Maritime Services, with the goal of extending more of the in-house analytical expertise to the maritime industry.

Eurofins Maritime Services requires a wide range of analyses that often go beyond standard scopes. Frequently, this involves coordinating with multiple testing suppliers or partners to meet all maritime testing needs.
