Our seed care services include seed treatment for batches ranging from 100g to 5kg / 6L with a choice of Hege, Satec and Niklas equipment, as well as dispatch to field sites. We also conduct field and pot studies to evaluate the efficacy and safety of seed treatments under GEP and GLP standards.

Our rainfall simulators are purpose built to satisfy the requirements for both rainfastness experiments (GEP) and foliar wash-off studies (GLP).  They are designed to simulate natural rainfall events from 2mm/hr to 25mm/hr, whilst our state of the art laser detection system allows real-time recording of rain intensity, droplet size and velocity during the rain event.

In GEP rainfastness studies,  standard assessments are performed following product application and rain events. In GLP wash-off studies, the residue remaining on the plant can be determined by our laboratories. The data generated can be used to determine the wash off factor, used to model the environmental concentrations of a residue in the soil or ground water (PECsoil and PECgw).

Tank mix compatibility

Test your chemical and microbial formulations of pesticides, fertilizers, biostimulants and other products. Physical compatibility testing is a basic requirement to support the inclusion of a recommendation for a tank mixture on a product label. Microbial formulations are also tested for biological compatibility.

For artificial infection of screening and efficacy trials, we maintain a dozen of fully characterized pathogen species and strains collected on arable and vegetable crops from various regions at our phytopathology laboratories. Our experts bulk up spores for inoculation of field and pot trials with target disease. We can also supply seeds artificially infected with seed borne disease for your experiments.

Located in a vast number of major agricultural regions, our field staff can collect pest colonies, weed seeds and disease strains for sensitivity testing at your own facility or at one of our laboratories. 

Our expert teams can establish sensitivity to your products using standard methods or developing a suitable methodology where necessary, for post-registration monitoring or to study the baseline of sensitivity for new active substance.

All monitoring campaigns are carefully planned and we provide scientific guidance about sampling methods and representative areas for each crop and target, to optimize the number and geographical spread of sites.

To detect and quantify non-conventional substances, our GLP laboratory performs residue analysis of products using a range of alternative techniques including ELISA, SDS-PAGE, western blotting and bio-assays. We also offer GLP compliant detection of GM traits in seeds and plants.
