Acid Detergent Lignin (ADL)

Definition

The Acid Detergent Lignin (ADL) is the part of the plant that is not at all digestible. These lignins disappear again through the manure.

Importance in feed structure

Although lignins are not digestible and pass through the manure unchanged, they are still important because they contribute to a higher structural value in the feed.
