Using a renewable energy source

Biogas testing

Analysing the potential

Biogas is a renewable energy source that can produce electricity, heating, or fuel. The
gas, consisting primarily of methane and carbon dioxide (CO2), is produced by anaerobic
digestion of organic material.

The organic material can be slurry from farms or waste from the food industry. Farmers who supply slurry to the biogas plant get it back after degassing. The waste product after degassing slurry can be used as fertiliser on the fields.

The future

The Biogas Industry is relatively young and is therefore constantly evolving. New organic sources are being tested. New legal requirements are introduced. New biogas plants are built.

At Eurofins Agro we thrive to be in front and keep up to date with the latest news in market developments, analytical needs, and legislative changes.
