Mineral fertilisers check

Eurofins Agro analyses mineral fertilisers for aspects such as the quantity of nutrients, sodium, heavy metals, organic matter and neutralizing value (for lime fertilisers). These analyses provide reassurance on the purity/composition of a fertiliser.

Unexpected problems

Unexpected problems in the crop are sometimes caused by the purity of fertilizers (excessive sodium or heavy metals). Pipe blockages during irrigation or precipitation in the A or B tank are sometimes due to impurities in the fertilizers used.

New fertilisers

Fertiliser producers in the Netherlands and elsewhere have introduced a range of new fertilisers in recent years, such as low-sodium fertilizers and various organic products. There are also a number of new producers in the market. Before you switch to a new fertiliser or another supplier, think about having the purity and composition of the new fertiliser analyzed. Impurities in fertilisers can cause all kinds of problems in the crop.

 Method

Eurofins Agro analyses samples according to prescribed and established methods. The analysis report briefly describes the method. Here you can also see which method has been accredited by the Accreditation Council. We then put a Q after the method.

In the tab Downloads, in the document “Methoden Horticulture onderzoek” (in Dutch) you will find a detailed description of the methods. This document supplements the information on the analysis report.
