Safe Feed/Safe Food certification
Developed by The American Feed Industry Association in 2004 and administered now by Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI), the voluntary program aims to promote adherence to rigorous standards, enhance industry credibility, and safeguard animal health and food safety.
Eurofins can deliver FSC 32, FSC 34 and FSC 36 certifications to drive safety and quality for important feed and agriculture industry.
SF/SF Program
Feed facilities can leverage three Safe Feed Safe Food certification programs:
- Food Sector Category (FSC) 32: FSC 32 is for pet food and pet food ingredients. It is GFSI-benchmarked
- Food Sector Category (FSC) 34: FSC 34 is also a GFSI-benchmarked program and it is designed for manufacture of animal feeds to ensure effective compliance with international standard that is recognized by Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
- Food Sector Category (FSC) 36: FSC 36 is also known as the standard program, FSC 36 focuses on compliance with the Food Safety Modernization Act’s animal food rule and beyond regulatory requirements.
