In Germany, we currently offer toxicological analyses only to government agencies and business clients. Eurofins Forensics laboratories do not facilitate private analyses at this time.
The Eurofins Forensics Network in France comprises several laboratories specialising in DNA forensics and forensic toxicology. The scientists at the Eurofins forensic toxicology laboratories are considered international leaders in their field.
Our forensic toxicology experts have analysed a large number of samples for law enforcement and judicial authorities throughout Europe and are thus exceptionally well-trained.

Hair and nail analysis can be a reliable indicator of long-term drug abuse patterns and can prove useful in addition to conventional oral fluid and urine tests, where even short-term abstinence can render results undetectable.
Drugs in Crime
Biological samples can be collected and analysed to determine whether an individual has been exposed to substances once or repeatedly, or whether, for example, a purported victim is making false claims.
Application example - Substance abuse
Substance abuse or sports doping can be detected through biological samples such as blood, urine, and saliva. Analysing hair and nail samples can also help identify historical patterns of abuse and track progress in rehabilitation.
Application example - Alcohol abuse
Alcohol abuse can be detected through blood analysis, and for a longer term view, also through hair analysis.
Application example - Post-mortem examinations
When investigating a sudden or suspicious death, determining the presence or absence of medications or other substances can be of great value.
